Rochedale South State School Multi-Purpose Hall

The Performing Arts Centre Hall provides Rochedale South State School with space for pupils to engage with the arts and creativity. Engaged by Watpac to complete the structural and civil design aspects of the project, Projex Partners worked collaboratively with the consultant team to investigate various framing options resulting in the 22m single span, mono-slope, portal frame structure. The foundation system consists of a suspended concrete slab supported on screw piles at regular centres, cast over a void former to combat the challenging ground conditions.

Mercedes Autohaus, Newstead

New car showroom, sales and service development comprising five levels adjacent to Breakfast Creek in Newstead. The building is equivalent to 10 storeys in height and is approximately 100m by 60m wide.


Projex Partners provided full structural design services including structural steelwork, precast, pre-tensioned, post-tensioned and conventional reinforced concrete elements. Key features of this project are the long-span concrete floors with limitations on deflection criteria.


This project demonstrates our expertise in structural concrete and steel design.

Griffith University Aquatic Centre & Gym, Gold Coast

The project included an Olympic swimming pool with associated service spaces, a gym and external terraced seating and landscape areas. Whilst the structure comprises a combination of reinforced concrete block walls and precast walls panels supporting suspended concrete slabs, public spaces feature high quality coloured insitu concrete surface finishes. Large open spaces are created for the gym and exercise space. The building won ‘Building of the Year (Gold Coast Region) from the Australia Institute of Architects in 2018.

Newstead Series Apartments

Design of Stages 1 and 2 of the $95 million Newstead Series residential project. The development includes 300 apartments and townhomes spread across four (4) boutique towers – The Carlyle, The Donaldson, The Ajax and The Koerstz.


A shared podium provides half an acre of subtropical landscaped gardens and amenities including a 25 metre lap pool and spa, sauna, gymnasium with green room, alfresco dining areas, fire pit, outdoor cinema, recreational lawns and exercise spaces. Masonry screen elements provide a notable feature on the street elevations. Projex Partners also provided construction support in relation to tower cranes and material hoists for the project.

Skyring Apartments, Newstead

Design of a 25-storey unit building over three basements. The project utilises a diaphragm wall for retention in poor ground conditions, with reinforced concrete slabs and post-tensioned transfer elements.

Caboolture River Road Residential Unit Development

Projex Partners was engaged by Morayfield Property Developments for the design and documentation of operational works plans associated with the 116 residential unit development at Caboolture River Road.

The operational works application included stormwater design, earthworks, Stormwater Management Plan, water and sewer connections, application to Council/ Unity Water and external channelised urban intersection design.

Nandroya Industrial Estate

Development Manager for the decontamination planning, design and construction for 11 industrial allotments over 10 hectares at Cooroy.

Bellflower Estate, Sippy Downs (136 Lots)

This project involves various stages within the Bellflower Estate, including a boardwalk and viewing platform of Lacewing Pond, the entrance to Bellflower Road and the design of the Northern Channel to manage impacts on fauna and flora. This project involved construction management and contract administration of 64 lot subdivision including earthworks, drainage, pavements, water reticulation, sewerage and retaining walls. Detailed design, documentation and construction administration of a 57 lot subdivision. Works included road and intersection design, stormwater drainage, bio-retention basins, pavements, signage, sewerage and water reticulation, and management of landscaping and electrical/lighting design consultants. Detailed design, documentation and construction administration of a 15 lot subdivision. Works included road and intersection design, stormwater drainage, bio-retention basins, pavements, signage, sewerage and water reticulation, and management of landscaping and electrical/lighting design consultants.

Ridley Road, Bridgeman Downs

160 Ridley Road was a 13,800 m2 lot located in Bridgeman Downs on the northern side of Brisbane. This project involved the subdivision of the original residential lot into 19 residential lots varying from 650m2 to 400m2 lots and a 3,100m2 lot provisioned for future medium density development. Projex Partners was tasked with the detailed design, operational works application and construction supervision of civil works. The associated engineering works included the design of internal roads, underground drainage infrastructure, sewer services, bulk earthworks, watermain and relocation of services. Brisbane City Council conditions also required the design and construction of widening works on Ridley Road, including the provision of a bus stop and footpath in the adjacent road reserve.
