Alice and Fitzgerald Streets, Innisfail – Intersection Upgrade
Projex Partners were engaged by Cassowary Coast Regional Council to carry out detailed design & RPEQ certification and to produce bill of quantities and safety in design documentation for pedestrian and stormwater drainage upgrades at the intersection of Alice and Fitzgerald Streets, Innisfail. Projex Partners met with Council representatives on site to appreciate the various constraints and opportunities of the project and to discuss potential solutions. Fitzgerald Street is a relatively high-volume thoroughfare for vehicular traffic in Innisfail and with the site being immediately adjacent Innisfail Hospital and the North Johnstone River, there is high pedestrian activity. New footpath extensions and widenings, DDA-compliant kerb ramps, kerb & channel, pedestrian refuges, blister islands, signage and linemarking were provided in the design to facilitate improvement to the safety of pedestrian movements in the area.
TAMS Project – Mine Entrance Roads and Carparking
Concept, Preliminary and Detailed Designs for new mine entrances for all BMA mine sites in Bowen Basin (12 Coal mines) Each mine entrance included a new Site Access Centre and electronic security access to record all personnel entering or leaving the mine. The works included new access roads, car parks, and access control/monitoring facilities including boom gates, turnstiles, swipe card readers and CCTV.
