Projex Partners were engaged by Gympie Regional Council to undertake the design of two floodways that required replacement due to their deteriorating conditions. The floodways were located within mapped waterways and an ecological sensitive area which required SARA approval before works could commence. Potential impacts upon vegetation and fish passage were key considerations throughout the design process.
Projex Partners were engaged by Cassowary Coast Regional Council to carry out detailed design & RPEQ certification and to produce bill of quantities and safety in design documentation for pedestrian and stormwater drainage upgrades at the intersection of Alice and Fitzgerald Streets, Innisfail. Projex Partners met with Council representatives on site to appreciate the various constraints and opportunities of the project and to discuss potential solutions. Fitzgerald Street is a relatively high-volume thoroughfare for vehicular traffic in Innisfail and with the site being immediately adjacent Innisfail Hospital and the North Johnstone River, there is high pedestrian activity. New footpath extensions and widenings, DDA-compliant kerb ramps, kerb & channel, pedestrian refuges, blister islands, signage and linemarking were provided in the design to facilitate improvement to the safety of pedestrian movements in the area.
Design and documentation of 4 drainage treatment upgrades located across the Moreton Bay Region.
Pettigrew Street included the design and construction certification of a Ecosol Trash Rack and surrounding works including fencing and barriers.
The detailed design adopted a curvelinear alignment to assist with traffic calming and to suit adjacent streets. Existing public utility services were thoroughly investigated to ensure conflicts were avoided. The stormwater drainage design was aligned with Council’s drainage master plan for minor and major storm events. Careful consideration of existing property accesses and future property accesses where allotments would be filled, was undertaken to future-proof the design. Our detailed design documentation facilitated a safe and efficient construction phase for Council and the community is now enjoying the upgraded road environment.
Projex Partners was engaged by Sunshine Coast Council to project manage the removal and replacement of trash screen and basket at the Currimundi Lake Retirement Village. Works were coordinated to be carried out during the replacement of the Village deck area that needed replacement as it was severely corroded.
Widening of 700m section of the road corridor to a 4-lane median divided carriageway, signalising the intersections at Hughes Road East / Dakabin Waste Facility access and Goodwin Rd / Watson Park.
Projex Partners alongside Venant Solutions provided drainage design and flood modelling for Young and Oakey Flat Road Intersection, Narangba
Design, documentation, and civil construction certification of subsurface and surface drainage within Council’s reserve at Emerald Court, Mapleton.
Investigation and design of the existing pond function including remediation, to improve playing area within the park, improve water quality and a reduced ongoing maintenance costs to Sunshine Coast Council for pond maintenance.
45.92km rural road upgrade within Isaac Regional Council to accommodate increased heavy vehicle loading and improve flood immunity, safety and reliability.
The design included the upgrade and introduction of 9 culvert structures, 13 floodway structures and longitudinal drainage structures for the project.
