Mulambin Causeway Lake Boat Ramp Reconstruction

Projex Partners was engaged by Transport and Main Roads (TMR) to undertake the detailed design and construction administration of the replacement of the boat ramp at Mulambin Causeway Lake on the Capricorn Coast near Yeppoon.


The Mulambin Causeway boat ramp replaced the existing ramp with a new single lane ramp to access the Mulambin Lake.

Ski Gardens Boat Ramp Upgrade, Rockhampton

Projex Partners was engaged by Transport and Main Roads (TMR) to undertake the detailed design and construction administration of the replacement of the boat ramp at Ski Gardens on the Fitzroy River in Rockhampton.


The Ski Gardens boat ramp replaced the existing ramp with a new two lane ramp to access the ski and fishing areas upstream of the Fitzroy River weir.

Glebe Weir Boat Ramp Upgrade, Spring Creek

Projex Partners was engaged by Transport and Main Roads (TMR) to undertake the detailed design and construction administration of the replacement of the boat ramp at Glebe Weir on the Dawson River near Theodore.

The Glebe Weir boat ramp replaced the existing ramp with a new single lane ramp to access the ski and fishing areas upstream of the weir.

Starboard Drive Boat Ramp, Bowen

Projex Partners was engaged by Transport and Main Roads (TMR) to undertake the detailed design and construction administration of the upgrade and widening of the public boat ramp in the Bowen boat harbour at Starboard Drive.


Starboard Drive boat ramp included the modification and upgrade to the existing ramp including widening of the existing boat ramp to incorporate a new eastern lane, extension of the western lane and the provision of a floating walkway.

Horseshoe Bay Boat Ramp, Bowen

Projex Partners was engaged by Transport and Main Roads (TMR) to undertake the detailed design and construction administration of the replacement of the boat ramp in Bowen at Horseshoe Bay Road.


The Horseshoe Bay boat ramp replaced the existing ramp with a new two lane ramp to access the ocean north of Bowen.

Mooloolaba Sandbag Wall – Stage 2 (Design & DA)

Projex Partners was engaged by Sunshine Coast Council to design, document and certify a buried sandbag retaining wall at Mooloolaba Spit (Parkyn Parade) to protect the beach and park infrastructure against erosion from major weather events.

Mooloolaba Spit is an important part of the Sunshine Coast’s beachside environment for tourists and locals, however ongoing erosion during severe weather events has caused significant scarping and damage to vegetation and park infrastructure that is impacting the amenity of the beachfront and threatening existing infrastructure.

The sandbag wall will work in conjunction with the Mooloolaba sand pumping program to improve the amenity of the beach and limit the impacts of future weather events.

Bradman Avenue Revetment Wall, Maroochydore

Sunshine Coast Council requested Projex Partners undertake detailed design of a grouted rock pitched revetment wall to replace an existing failing section (approximately 42m) of the revetment wall along Bradman Avenue.

Mooloolaba Caravan Park Revetment Wall

Sunshine Coast Council requested Projex Partners undertake design and approvals of refurbishment of the existing rock wall protecting the caravan park on Mooloolaba Beach foreshore.

This project is currently on hold pending outcomes of Sunshine Coast Council’s Mooloolaba foreshore planning.

Shelley Beach Revetment Wall, Caloundra

Projex Partners was engaged by Sunshine Coast Council to undertake detailed design of a new rock revetment wall to protect the existing vegetation and replace the rock pitching around the stormwater pipe outlet with a grouted rock pitched wall. Design included sections of dry stack and grouted rock pitching and extended from the existing fence north of the pipe outlet to the existing rock revetment wall on the southern side of the pipe outlet.

The project is due to start construction in late 2016.

Maloja Boat Ramp, Caloundra

Sunshine Coast Council requested Projex Partners undertake survey, concept and detailed design for rehabilitation of the existing boat ramp.

The project required the design of a topping slab over the existing concrete slab as well as new toe planks below the tide line.

The design had to allow for the extremely harsh conditions of the coastal environment.
